What's the difference between captive and open access?
Under open access you buy renewable power from a generator and have it wheeled to your site. In a captive or group-captive model you also own part of the plant — typically at least 26% equity with at least 51% of the generation consumed by the owners — which can reduce certain surcharges under the applicable rules.
Am I eligible for green energy open access?
India's Green Energy Open Access Rules, 2022 allow consumers with a contracted demand of 100 kW or more to procure renewable power through open access. We check your connection details and the current state regulations during feasibility.
